As a member of The Irish Hypnotist Register (herein known as "the IHR"). You are first and foremost expected to practice hypnotherapy in the most ethical and professional way possible. You are expected to follow the code of ethics issued by the IHR. Should any member of the IHR, be found to be in breach of any of the terms or conditions of membership, or be in breach of the law in relation to hypnotherapy and general therapy practice, the member in breach may have their membership suspended or cancelled without refund of any fees paid. You will not encourage clients to report any perceived crimes, such as abuse of a mental or physical nature, which may have come to light during therapy. You may however make the client aware that they can make a complaint if they so choose. You will not offer professional advice to clients unless you are qualified to do so. You will not intentionally bring any other therapist, or professional, or profession into disrepute as a result of defamation, or any other negative commentary. You are otherwise expected to use common sense when representing hypnotherapy and the related organisations in which you hold memberships.

 

Failure to abide by any of the terms and conditions above, or the law, may result in the immediate suspension and/or termination, of your membership. By submitting your details, you fully agree to respectfully follow the terms and conditions set out by the IHR. In the event of membership cancellation, further to the above stipulation, the IHR maintains the right to terminate all other agreements without notice to the member. The terms and conditions of this agreement supersede the content of any other agreement between the member and the IHR unless otherwise specified in other agreements.
